Michele Allan (née Johnson) studied Photojournalism at the London College of Printing. On returning to her native North East she began working as a University Photographer and continued to work on social documentary projects in her spare time. After marrying, having a family and continuing to work full time, these personal projects were put on hold. It is only in the last few years that she has found the time to pick up her camera again and continue these documentary projects.
